Photos about Ano Asites Village
Ano Asites is located 23 km from the city of Heraklion in an altitude of 490 m. A big part of its extent is constituted by forest in the mountain of Psilorti.
In the area is the small Byzantine church of Saint Antonios. Through the homonymous gorge passes the European Mountaineering Path E4 that leads to the shelter of Mountaineering Association of Heraklion in an altitude of 1100 metres.
An important spot is the perennial oak tree in Kouvdi area and clumps of trees in the gorge of Saint Antonios and in the gorge of Saint Haralambos.
The region is well organised in the subjects of health. In the village you will find a medical office and a pharmacy. As well as a medical centre 5km from the village.
