The “Nychteridospilios” (bat cave) with a depth of 100 metres in Ano Asites is one of the 4 most important caves of Psiloritis for bats. It is a shelter for the type Rhinolophus ferrumequinum all year round and in the beginning of summertime hundreds of female bats are gathered there in order to give birth.
